Liberating the Entrepreneurial Spirit for Good

“Liberating the entrepreneurial spirit for good” is a powerful intention with
profound consequences. Liberation is no small undertaking,
on any level, towards any end. The entrepreneurial spirit
is a powerful force, requiring awareness, skill, and courage
to channel towards an intended outcome. And realizing good
intentions through focused activation of the entrepreneurial
spirit is a profound endeavor, with many challenges along
the way. Making the world a better place to live and a home
for human flourishing, begins with our intentions, comes
to life through entrepreneurial spirit, and manifests through
our actions.

A Tale of Two Idealists

Consider Julian, Activist A: Angered by social injustice and environmentally
unsustainable commerce, and inspired by earlier generations
of activists, Julian graduated from college determined to
make a difference in the world. He got a job as a canvasser
for a social justice organization at below minimum wage
(indeed, the organization pleaded with the government for
an exemption to pay its employees below minimum wage). After
eighteen months at this job he obtained a better job, working
for a non-profit, as a community organizer in a poor Hispanic
community.
